Army Welfare Education Society (AWES) Recruitment: 

Army Welfare Education Society (AWES) has published a notification to hire the eligible candidates for the approximately 8000 teacher’s post of PGT/ TGT/ PRT. Interested and eligible candidates may apply online through the official website of Army Welfare Education Society (AWES)- ( on or before 21-12-2017. Army Welfare Education Society (AWES) manages 137 Army Public Schools (APS) located in various Cantonments and Military Stations across India. Educational qualification and all other details regarding candidate selection, how to apply, pay scale, age limit all are given below. The candidates are requested to visit the officially released advertisement for more details.

Eligibility Criteria of PGT/ TGT/ PRT Post:

No of posts: 8000 (approximately)

Note: The exact number of vacancies will be projected by the School/Management while advertising for holding interviews/evaluation of teaching skills for selection of teachers.

Educational/ Professional Qualification :

Age Limit as on 01 April 2018:  

Experienced Candidates: Below 57 years (Should have minimum 5 years teaching experience in the last 10 years)

Fresh Candidates: Below 40 years (except for NCR schools where TGT/PRT should be < 29 yrs and PGT < 36 years)

Pay Scale: Basic and Grade Pay are generally comparable to Central Govt rates and Allowances will be decided by respective school management. The same will be subject to the financial viability of the school.

Application Fee :
 The candidate should pay Rs.500/- (non-refundable) as application fee.

How to Apply :
 Candidates are expected to register ON-LINE for the screening exam by logging onto the Registration Portal . The registration portal will be open from 01 Dec 2017 to 21 Dec 2017. Candidates can register from 9AM on 01 Dec 2017 to 5PM on 21 Dec 2017.

Exam Method: Test will be conducted ON-LINE in the MCQ format.For details see table below.

Candidate Selection: The selection of the candidate will be on Screening Exam, Interview, Evaluation of Teaching Skills and Computer Proficiency process.

(b) Availability of Admit cards on-line - 05 Jan 2018
(c) Exam - 15-17 Jan 2018.
(d) Publication of Results - 27 Jan 2018.
